Hi, my name is Lucas Mazurik. I am an apparel designer based in the Pacific Northwest with a deep love for functional wear, including outdoor wear, work wear, and performance wear. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel Design from Oregon State University.

My approach to design is guided by a simple principle: FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION. Apparel should be designed keeping the end-user in mind, first serving a purpose. Whether it’s protecting you from the elements or making everyday activities a little bit easier, aesthetics can follow after functional elements are established.

I’m passionate about sustainable design. My experience with 3D design software has allowed me to streamline the prototyping process in both an efficient and sustainable way. I believe the apparel industry has a responsibility to do better by designing with longevity, responsibility, and care for the planet. For me, good design isn’t just about how something looks or works, but also about the impact it leaves behind.

Outside of design, I spend as much time as I can in nature. Snowboarding on Mount Hood or hiking along the Columbia Gorge. Experiences in nature aren’t just how I recharge — it’s where I find inspiration. The landscapes, elements, and functional needs demanded by the outdoors constantly shape the way I think about design decisions.
