ABOUT ME
I’m Lucas Mazurik, an apparel designer from the Pacific Northwest with a deep love for functional design and the outdoors.
I’m currently working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design at Oregon State University, graduating in Spring 2025. My approach to design is guided by a simple principle: FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION. I believe clothing should first serve a purpose — whether it’s protecting you from the elements or making everyday life a little easier — and from there, its aesthetics naturally follow.
Outside of design, I spend as much time as I can in nature. Snowboarding on Mount Hood or hiking along the Columbia Gorge isn’t just how I recharge — it’s where I find inspiration. The landscapes, textures, and functionality demanded by the outdoors constantly shape the way I think about design decisions.
I’m passionate about sustainable design. I believe the apparel industry has a responsibility to do better by designing with longevity, responsibility, and care for the planet. For me, good design isn’t just about how something looks or works, but also about the impact it leaves behind.
Thanks for checking out my work — I’m always excited to connect, collaborate, and keep learning.
